1 Utopia acquires valet company

KUALA LUMPUR: 1 Utopia Bhd, formerly Tejari Technologies Bhd, is acquiring car jockey services company Ururasa Sdn Bhd for a cash consideration of RM1.03 million.

According to the announcement, 1 Utopia is acquiring the company from two individuals, namely Eng Mok Hock and Tee Heong Lan. Ururasa operates the car jockey service at Low Yat Plaza, Federal Hotel and Capitol Hotel.

1 Utopia, which manufactures hydraulic systems, ventured into the ICT business last year when it acquired PC3 Technology Sdn Bhd and Essential Action Sdn Bhd for RM9.28 million to be paid for in a mixture of cash and shares. Under its unit ICT Utopia Sdn Bhd, the company operates a one-stop retail ICT centre at Plaza Low Yat.

According to 1 Utopia the rationale for the acquisition is to provide value added services to its customers.

“This includes offering concierge services for ICT products including valet parking, drive-thru and drop-off/pick-up services. As such, customers are able to enjoy a more streamlined, less stressful and more productive life by eliminating their hassle and worry for searching for parking,” said 1 Utopia.
