Petronas Gas rises on power sale offer

Petronas Gas Bhd, a unit of Malaysia’s state energy company, rose the most in a week in Kuala Lumpur trading after Prime Minister Najib Razak offered to sell electricity to neighboring Singapore.

The stock climbed 1.8 percent to RM15.10 at 9:16 a.m. local time, set for its biggest increase since Dec. 28.

Petronas Gas is jointly building a gas-fired power plant in Malaysia’s eastern Sabah state. -- Bloomberg
